David Laffar – Director of Golf & Head Professional
PGA Professional and Level 2 Trackman Certified
David joined Crondon Park in 2022 as the Director of Golf and Head Professional after being a member of the club since 2002. He would consider himself an elite golf coach and equipment specialist with experience working with players of all abilities ranging from multiple mens and ladies European Tour players, elite amateurs all the way to beginners. He is a passionate coach who thrives on building relationships and helping golfers improve their skills utilising the latest technology with Trackman 4 launch monitor.

Sam Chipperfield –
PGA Professional
Sam joined the team at Crondon Park in April 24’ after starting his PGA journey in 2020 after six years of service in the golf industry. In the four years training within the PGA Sam has been honing in his skills within coaching with a prominent focus on guiding players of all levels towards their personal goals. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned golfer, Sam is dedicated to making your coaching experience clear, concise and enjoyable. He uses video analysis tools such as the OnForm platform within his coaching so that swing videos can be shared and lessons tailored to your specific needs.

Hannah Wakefield – Golf Events Coordinator
Golf Events Coordinator
Hannah joined the Crondon Park Golf Team in 2022. Hannah specialises in event planning and coordination for members and visitors, with a priority to provide you with the best experience possible. Hannah is a key member of the Crondon Team and is dedicated to creating memorable experiences on and off the golf course. Hannah is always on-hand to answer any questions you may have.
Sophie – Assistant PGA Professional
Assistant PGA Professional
Sophie joined the team at Crondon Park in August 24’ and is starting her PGA journey in October 24’ to further enhance her knowledge and skills. Sophie had a very successful amateur career playing for the county and national teams with a handicap of +3. She played American College golf for 4 years at Flagler College in Florida. Whilst studying in America, Sophie used her leadership experience to lead her college golf team as captain to the school’s first national final. Sophie is eager and excited to become an integral part of our team and is looking forward to meeting each of you over the coming months.

Lawson – Golf Operations Team
Lawson joined our Golf Operations team in February 2026 and he is a dedicated member of the team. Having been involved in golf from a young age, he went on to study at a specialist golf college and plays off scratch, competing in events both nationally and internationally.
His competitive experience has given him a strong technical understanding of the game, alongside a practical appreciation of player development and performance. In addition to his playing background, Lawson plays an active role in the day-to-day running of golf operations, helping to ensure a smooth experience for both members and visitors.
His knowledge of the game, combined with his professional approach and enthusiasm, makes him a key part of the Crondon Park team.
